Agency Description

The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Adult Education (OAE) is a division of the Office of Workforce Development (OWD). OWD was launched in March 2018 to foster systemic solutions to employers’ human capital challenges and strengthen Philadelphia’s career pathway ecosystem. The Office of Workforce Development is responsible for implementation of Fueling Philadelphia’s Talent Engine (FPTE), a citywide workforce development strategy aimed at addressing employers’ talent needs and preparing residents for careers in family-sustaining jobs

The Office of Adult Education (OAE) manages the KEYSPOT network which consists of 50 public access computers that provide Philadelphians with access to technology, the internet, and digital literacy training. The network strives to prepare Philadelphia residents for tech-enabled work environments by improving access to digital tools and increasing educational and economic opportunities for low-income individuals in Philadelphia.

Position Summary

This position will support the KEYSPOT initiative. More information about the initiative can be found online at www.phillykeyspots.org.

KEYSPOT network sites provide Philadelphians with access to technology, the internet, and digital literacy training. This initiative is dedicated to improving education, economic, and social outcomes for all Philadelphians through technology. The Manager will oversee and contribute to the growth and development of the network and programming.

The position will report to the Senior Director of the Office of Adult Education.
