Commission in the News

The Commission is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of our own, Commissioner Douglas C. Howell, who made his transition on July 29, 2013. Douglas was a smart, savvy, and lovely gentleman who was not only a pleasure to work with, but also a tremendous asset to the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy. He will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. Click here to read more about the life and legacy of Douglas Howell.
