Vanessa Wallace
Adult Education Services Coordinator

I joined the Office of Adult Education in October 2016, as the Adult Education Services Coordinator for the Paschalville Project in southwest Philadelphia. My work includes supporting the Southwest CDC myPLACE℠ campus with technical and administrative assistance, and establishing and supporting additional education partners in southwest Philadelphia.

My past work experiences have included managing and teaching informal education programs for children and adults at nature centers, schools, and museums, teaching university courses in biology, developing and leading teacher training programs, tutoring adult ESL learners, and teaching ESL to primary and secondary students with the Peace Corps in Romania. I have also coordinated outreach programs and worked with partner organizations to deliver educational programs. I hold an M.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

I am happy to be returning to the field of education after several years focusing primarily on natural resource protection. I am very excited to be serving the Office of Adult Education and the community of Paschalville in this role.
