Marjorie Llacuna Morris
Director, Communications & Development

Marjorie Llacuna Morris has been director of communications and development with the Office of Adult Education (OAE) since March 2016. She leads a team responsible for communications that advance OAE’s efforts to generate awareness, strengthen existing collaborations, initiate strategic partnerships and develop support for lifelong learning and workforce readiness for adults and their families in the City of Philadelphia. These communications include traditional and digital channels, community outreach, events and conferences.

Prior to joining OAE, Morris was senior manager of marketing and communications with KenCrest, a greater Philadelphia nonprofit organization providing educational and vocational services for learners with intellectual disabilities and autism, where she led and launched the organization’s rebrand in 2014 and raised visibility around its 110th anniversary in 2015. Previously, she was senior marketing and business development manager at Philadelphia-headquartered USI Affinity, a Goldman Sachs Capital Partners portfolio company.

Morris began her career on Madison Avenue planning and managing major consumer packaged goods (CPG) accounts with worldwide advertising agencies Bates; DDB; and Wells Rich BDDP. Her CPG accounts included Benadryl, Celestial Seasonings and Neosporin (Warner-Lambert); Dial and Tone (The Dial Corporation); and Oil of Olay (Procter & Gamble). She also gained experience in the magazine side of advertising, having coordinated accounts for Bon Appétit, a Condé Nast publication.

Morris holds a B.A. in Political Economy from Barnard College, Columbia University, and earned a certificate in nonprofit management from Netter Center for Community Partnerships, University of Pennsylvania. She lives with her family in the Washington Square West neighborhood of Philadelphia.
