Do I need to commit to a certain number of hours per week or month?

To refer you to a provider, we require that you commit to 4 to 6 months (2 to 3
hours per week) of tutoring. It, however, depends on the agency that you are referred to. It is something that we recommend you discuss with the site/tutor coordinator at the agency we refer you to. Most agencies require a 6 month tutoring commitment from you. Please bear in mind that the need for volunteers is very high, so you may be able to negotiate with the agency how much of your time you can devote to tutoring.
