Citywide GED® Graduation 2015

The Mayor’s Commission on Literacy, along with several other adult education and workforce development organizations in Philadelphia, will host a Citywide GED® Graduation on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, sponsored in part by PECO. The ceremony will celebrate those who have passed the GED® in Philadelphia since July 1, 2014 and attained their Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma (CSSD). The event is by invitation only.

“It’s more important than ever to recognize the achievements of these adults,” says Diane Inverso, senior director of The Commission. “These individuals have worked extremely hard to earn this credential. Many will continue their education as they pursue their professional goals.”

Thank you to the agencies and organizations who have partnered with the Commission to make this event possible, including: Center for Literacy, Community Learning Center, Congreso de Latinos Unidos, District 1199C Training & Upgrading Fund, JEVS Human Services E3 Power Center City, New World Association, Philadelphia Youth Network, Temple University Center for Social Policy and Community Development, and the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians.
