This training will give site coordinators an inclusive view at what it takes to support staff and volunteers to best teach adult learners. Participants will leave with an understanding of how to use learner assessments and goals to plan instruction, how to integrate technology into instruction, and an overview of the pros and cons of single skill level classes or multiple skill level classes. The training will detail how to create a class schedule and how to document and maintain learner participation and performance records. Facilitators will also cover best practices in supporting tutors and instructors in on going professional development.

About Site Coordinator Series
The Office of Adult Education is offering a special professional development training series for administrators and coordinators looking to establish adult education programs or seeking to revitalize existing programs. Anyone coordinating a community-based adult literacy program will benefit from this series.
Participants may choose to attend all the trainings, or pick specific trainings. Each training will take place in two interactive workshop sessions (each 3 hours). To successfully complete a training, participants must attend both sessions and complete all assigned activities.
