Are you looking to be the best pet parent possible or care for wildlife in your neighborhood? Tech Savvy, Pet Happy online animal care classes from the Office of Adult Education and ACCT Philly offer the opportunity to learn digital skills, while learning how to care for animal and neighborhood wildlife.

Course Overview
Animal care courses focus on the health and well-being of animals and teach students how to properly care for pets and local wildlife. The Office of Adult Education is offering FREE online animal care and digital skills classes called “Tech Savvy, Pet Happy.” This course that teaches digital literacy, while also blending content about animal welfare.

Participants will learn:
1. Email
2.Microsoft Office
3. Social media skills
4. How best to care for pets
5. How to get involved with animal advocacy in their communities

The course is four weeks, is almost entirely completed online, and is open to community members 18+. We are working with a partner, Lutheran Settlement House in Fishtown.

There, we will host a course orientation on Wednesday, October 17 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., along with an event with the Animal Care and Control Team on Thursday, October 25 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. where participants will get to learn from a professional working with animals. LSH also has a computer lab that participants are invited to use to work on the course.
